Factions: Guide and Rules

--Member Factions--

Everyone wants to run their own faction. These rules will allow you to do so.

A quality faction that interests many officers, and draws more to it's ranks, will earn benefits and more standing within the roleplay.
A faction that loses members and drops below a certain point will be disbanded.

This is designed to reward those who work hard at creating a faction, and in turn increase the enjoyment and amount of roleplay within the forum.

.:How do I create a faction?:.
In order to create a faction, you must first have a designated leader, and at least two other officers who wish to join the faction.

These officers must be played by different members. (Meaning at least three members, including yourself, want this faction created.)

A template is created for use with the Private Message system. In order to apply, you must fill out this application and send it via PM to a Global Moderator or higher on the staff.

The staff will review your faction and either PM you back to discuss it, or they will accept it and add you to the Factions listing, along with your current status.

.:What can I do with my faction?:.
Most of the faction rewards are based on a certain level of activity within the faction. Larger factions will receive increased power. This includes the amount of troops your faction may have, which will allow you to join the Mystics or Orochi's Army on the battlefield. At a certain point, you can rival even these Main Factions in order to carve out your own part of this new land.

How you setup your faction is entirely up to you. What the leader is called, the ranks among members, who has which rank.

There are some things you cannot do, however. Or at least, not until certain milestones.

1) Claiming a Territory
While most may see this as the first thing to have with a faction, it is actually something that requires more members than the initial three. This is to represent the size of your faction, and them only having the power to claim a piece of Orochi's Realm after gaining strength.

2) Starting a War
Obviously Member Factions are small, until a certain point, and could not start a war against the Main Factions.

The reward system is based on the number of Unique Members and Total Officers within the faction. Due to allowing multiple characters for each member, it would be easy to create a faction with your own characters, and reap the rewards for having up to eight officers(the current obtainable limit at the time of writing this).

Therefore, each reward has been given a requirement for a number of Unique Members as well as the total number of Officers within the faction. Unique Member means only members who are different people.

Your faction obtains the New Faction status.

A group will be made for the officers within the faction.
The group will be given 2 stars.
The leader of the faction will select a group color and star color.
The leader of the faction will be designated as group leader.
The leader of the faction will gain the power to accept new members who request to join the faction, or remove/ban existing members.

Your faction obtains the Medium Faction status.
The number of stars in the group will be increased to 3.
A single private board will be created for the faction members, to use in IC and OOC roleplay.

The number of stars in the group will be increased to 4.
A Territory may be claimed and a Headquarters established as a home base for the faction.
The leader of the faction will obtain access to the Leader Discussion board, to discuss things with other leaders and staff members.

Your faction obtains the Main Faction status.
The number of stars in the group will be increased to 5.
The faction has grown to the point that it can rival Orochi and the Mystics in power.
This allows the faction to start carving it's own path within the world.

Bonus Reward: The faction color may now use the Colorsmear to incorporate two colors.
Bonus Reward: Members within the faction can opt to have their names in the Shoutbox use their faction color.
